Som Hills is a very popular neighborhood located in Solon Ohio. Specifically, it offers an ideal North Solon location, a variety of housing choices, and a great neighborhood feel.
LOCATION
When people mention SOM Hills, one of the first things that comes to mind is the location. It is situated off Rt 91 ( SOM Center Road ), just South of Miles Road. Because it is one of very few traditional moderately priced neighborhoods in North Solon, it is very popular among Solon home buyers, especially those relocating to Solon from out of the area. SOM Hills is also in close proximity to the South Chagrin Metropark and neighboring suburbs such as Orange, Moreland Hills, and Chagrin Falls. It also offers easy highway access.

HOUSING
The development was built in the mid to late 1980's and consists of approximately 101 homes, mainly two story colonials. The homes are a mix in style of contemporary, Tudor, and transitional with cedar, stone, wood, brick, and stucco exteriors. The interiors have typically open floors plans, vaulted ceilings, great rooms, fireplaces, and many have finished basements. The streets located in SOM Hills are Ramble Wood Ct, Shadowbrook Drive, and Wintergreen Drive.
Other amenities found in homes in SOM Hillsare sprinkler systems, security systems, decks, and mature landscaping with private yards. A typical home in SOM Hills has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, is about 3500 square feet and is situated on about .4 acres. SOM Hills offers a lot for those who want to live in a traditional neighborhood and also want to be in the North part of Solon. It is also more affordable than newer developments located in the North part of town such as North Park and Stillwater.We have a lot of friends who live here and they simply love living in SOM Hills. They enjoy their yards, being able to jog or walk on the sidewalks and like the fact that there are a lot of children in the neighborhood for their kids to play with as well.
