SOLON HOME DAYS JULY 23-JULY 26, 2009
It is that time again when central Solon becomes a mini amusement park for 4 days. The 9th annual Solon Home Days will officially begin this Thursday, July 23rd and continue through Sunday, July 26th. The festival will be held in the main parking lot of the Solon Community Park which is located at 6679 SOM Center Road in Solon, Ohio. Home Days will have a 50's theme this year, so an Elvis sighting is more than likely.
This yearly event is meant to help unify the community. All residents are invited to attend. Those not living in Solon are welcome as well. This years event promises to have something for everyone including rides for kids of all ages, games, entertainment, food, prizes, booths, and more.

Home Days opens at 5PM on Thursday and Friday, 1PM on Saturday and 2PM on Sunday, after the 1PM parade. For more information and a complete schedule of events, click here.

What a nice way to get to know the whole community. Maybe other communities should practice something similiar.
Hi Don, the kids really look forward to it and they end the event with fireworks on the last night. It's a lot of fun for the community.

Hi Karen Anne, hopefully the weather will hold out and we'll actually need the sunscreen. We may need an umbrella for the first few days but it should clear up for the weekend.
